Eryndos2 announced - the developers return after losing their database

Not long ago, it seemed that the Eryndos story had come to an end. After hosting problems and the loss of the database, the staff announced the closure of the project, which came as a big surprise to the community. Now the situation has done a complete 180. The developers have officially confirmed that they are working on Eryndos2, a completely new incarnation of the server.

This means that one of the most talked-about projects of recent months will once again appear on the Metin2 servers scene. As the staff emphasize, this will not be a simple relaunch of the previous version, but a new stage in the project's development built on the experience gained after the first launch.

Not a restart, but a new project

In the published announcement, the developers admit that the end of the first Eryndos went completely differently than they had planned. Instead of shutting the project down for good, however, they decided to use the whole situation as motivation to build a better version of the server.

According to the announcement, Eryndos2 is set to keep the elements that worked well in the first edition, while eliminating bugs and expanding the mechanics players had pointed out. The staff stress that community suggestions have not been ignored and will have a real influence on the direction of work on the new version.

This approach may prove important for those who have followed the project from the very beginning and were hoping for its return.

What do we know about Eryndos2 so far?

At this stage, the developers have not yet revealed any gameplay details or a planned launch date. The announcement focuses primarily on the direction of the project.

The staff said that work currently underway includes, among other things:

  • reworking existing game elements,
  • developing current mechanics,
  • adding completely new systems,
  • expanding the available content,
  • introducing more polished solutions.

At the same time, they noted that all details will be revealed gradually. Over the coming weeks, showcases of new systems are expected, along with information showing how the project is changing compared to the first version.

The community will turn its eyes to Eryndos again

The project's return is sure to spark discussion among players who follow Metin2 private servers. The first Eryndos attracted a lot of interest even before launch, and its sudden end after technical problems was one of the biggest stories on the private server scene in recent times.

The Eryndos2 announcement shows that the staff have no intention of giving up on their vision. The developers openly admit that they want to fix the mistakes of the previous version and use the experience they gained to deliver a more polished project.

For now, it is hard to say how big the changes will be compared to the first version. Everything suggests, however, that Eryndos2 is being developed from the ground up with the goal of solving the problems that came up earlier, rather than simply recreating the lost server.

More information is expected soon

At the moment, the staff have not announced a beta test date or a planned server launch. They only said that further information will be published as work progresses. Players can therefore expect new systems, mechanics and changes prepared specifically for Eryndos2 to be revealed gradually.

If the project really does offer more than just a restart of the previous version, it could once again become one of the most closely watched Metin2 servers ahead of launch. For now, all that remains is to wait for more material from the staff and the first concrete details about the content of the new version.
