CheatMT2 renames to Womia.pl as the server begins rebranding
The CheatMT2 staff have announced that the project is changing its name. After more than a year under its current brand, the server is undergoing a rebrand and will continue from now on as Womia.pl. As the project owner explains, the decision is mainly meant to make further promotion, collaborations with content creators and growing the brand on social media easier.
CheatMT2 → Womia.pl
The main reason for the name change is the problem with the word "Cheat". According to the staff, the old name made it harder to set up collaborations and limited the ways the project could be promoted on social media. For some content creators, the name alone reportedly triggered negative associations and put them off working together.
The staff therefore decided to switch to the more neutral name Womia.pl. The rebrand is meant to let the project keep growing without the limitations that - according to the owner - came from the previous brand.
The change will cover several elements of the project's presence. Over the coming days, the following will be updated:
- the project name,
- the logo,
- the visual identity,
- social media profiles,
- any other places where the CheatMT2 brand is used.
What changes for players?
According to the staff's announcement, the rebrand itself is not meant to involve rebuilding the project or changing its core concept. In practice, nothing is supposed to change for players, and the updates will mainly affect the domain and the logos shown in the game client and on Discord.
The old CheatMT2.pl domain will remain active for some time and redirect users to the new Womia.pl website. The staff also note that the full rebrand may take a few days due to technical and rollout considerations.
This means that people following Metin2 servers should not treat Womia.pl as a completely new project. It is a rebrand of the existing CheatMT2, not an announcement of another server being launched from scratch.
The end of the CheatMT2 brand after more than a year
The project owner admitted that the decision to change the name was not an easy one. CheatMT2 ran for more than a year and became part of the history of the project and the community around the server.
The staff stress that the old name will remain part of the project's history, while Womia.pl is set to be the brand for the next stage of its development. The main goal is to expand opportunities to reach new players, run promotional campaigns and set up new collaborations.
For people browsing Metin2 private servers, this mainly means remembering the new name. CheatMT2 is becoming history, and the project will carry on as Womia.pl.
Womia.pl - a new stage for the project
According to the information shared by the staff, the rebrand does not change the server's core concept. What changes is mainly the project's identity - the name, domain, logo and elements related to how the brand is presented.
The staff summed up the change with the slogan: "Same team. Same project. New brand." For the community around CheatMT2, a new chapter is beginning, this time under the name Womia.pl.
The changes will be rolled out gradually over the coming days.
